Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE)

The Postgraduate Diploma in Education is the first year of a Masters in Education by Thesis programme. The course will allow you to develop your skills and deepen your knowledge in a specialized area in education and build your research skills in preparation for your M. Ed Thesis. The course offers specializations in Educational Management and Administration, Curriculum and Assessment. Students who have completed Bachelors degree in Education and have good working experience in educational settings will find this a challenging and stimulating course which will force you to reflect on your own thinking and experiences in your professional as well as personal lives and develop exciting new perspectives on what education and teaching is about.

Entry Requirements

A related Bachelor’s Degree

Alternative Criteria

25 years old, completion of related level 5 qualification and 6 years of relevant experience, (of which 3 years of experience is obtained after completion of a level 5 qualification), and achieved a pass rating from an interview or exam given by the institute.

OR

25 years old, completion of related level 6 qualification and 6 years of relevant experience, (of which 2 years of experience is obtained after completion of a level 6 qualification), and achieved a pass rating from an interview or exam given by the institute.
