Certificate III in Business (Tourism and Hospitality)

At the completion of this program, students should demonstrate basis knowledge and understanding of tourism and hospitality studies and be comfortable in utilizing the specialized language specific to the sector. In addition to this, the program will allow students to identify and develop the knowledge with regard to the various components of the tourism industry and how these work together for the benefit of the internal and external guests and customers in providing quality services. Furthermore, students are also expected to become cognizant of how the tourism and hospitality industry affect the local communities in terms of social, economic, environmental and cultural aspects. Students will also be able to identify and evaluate the current trends in the hospitality industry both at the national and international level, including an understanding of the various career opportunities therein. The program will also allow students to enhance their reading and writing skills as it relates to the hospitality and tourism sector, and be able to present the relevant data and information both in written and oral forms under various contexts.
